GTC and GTD Orders
PreferredTrade 6.2 now includes the ability to send GTD orders that allow users to set a specific "good 'til" date
during order entry. GTD orders sent can have good 'til dates set as far as one year from the date the order is entered.
When the GTD duration is selected, a drop-down date box will appear allowing the user to select a date for the order to expire,
the default date is the next business day.
GTC order types have been changed to automatically expire at 90 days from the date the order was entered.
This means if the user would like a longer term good 'til date, it is best to enter a GTD order with a specific good 'til date.
GTC and GTD orders will now display their expiration dates in the Working Orders window. In the following screenshot,
you can see the expiration date for this GTD order is May 25th, 2006. |
