Position
Detail
The Position Detail table
displays all current position for stocks and options in real
time, the current price, yesterday's price, and your profit
and loss on stocks and options.

- Symbol: Lists
the stocks and options in your account by their
symbols.
- Position: Lists
how many shares or contracts of each stock or
option you own.
- Trades: Lists
the net number of positions you have bought or
sold on the day for each stock or option. If you
have bought and sold the same number of positions,
then the net is zero.
- Current Price: Will
show the latest price. If the markets have closed
for the day, it will be the last price of the day;
during open market hours the current price will be
either the current price when the page is loaded,
or delayed by 15 minutes.
- Yesterday's Price: Displays
the ending price from the previous day of trading.
- Total P/L: Combined
real time update of the profit or loss for each
stock and its associated options during the
trading day. The totals in lower right corner of
table are same as summary table for Positions P/L.
- Current Value: Will
show the real-time current value for for each
position.
- Stock: Displays
the underlying stock position.
- Stock Last: Displays
the underlying stock last price in real-time.
- Type: "S"
for stock and "O" for option.
At the bottom of the table,
the total profits and losses are added for all positions.
- Profit/Loss: Real
time total of profit or loss for all positions
during the trading day.
- Current Value: Real-time
current value for all positions.
- Commissions:
Real time total of commissions so far for the
trading day. The total commissions are adjusted
for minimums about 30 minutes after the close of
the markets.
- Net Profit/Loss: Real
time update of the profit and loss for all
positions after deducting current commissions for
that trading day.
Important: All
intra-day and year-to-date profit and loss computations and
amounts are based on quotations from third party vendors
that may not be accurate, current or available at that time.
Automatically Enter Order
from the Positions Table
Automatically enter orders from the Positions Table by right
clicking on the stock or option symbol and left clicking on
the type of order you want, including spreads. The system
automatically fills in the order entry boxes with the
symbol, number of shares or contracts, last sale price and
the default route. This eliminates the need to manually
enter orders. Go to the order entry boxes and verify the
number of shares or contracts, modify the price, click
"send" to submit the order.
